    Boyd was appointed Director in 2006 and Board Chairman in 2013. Boyd has a background in local government, business management, and community involvement. His community involvement ranges from Meals on Wheels, P & C, RSL, and disability groups to name a few. He brings with him over 40 years of involvement with various church committees at local, State and National levels.

      Graham RowlesVice Chairman

      Graham was appointed Director in 2013. Graham is the local Pharmacist and has been in the industry for 20 years. Graham is passionate about the pharmaceutical industry, the community and dedicated to providing quality healthcare to our residents and the wider community. His experience brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board of Governance, not only in healthcare but in business management, as he owns and operates the Pharmacy in Gayndah. Graham was recently appointed Vice Chairman in February 2016.

      • Andrew Bryant
        Andrew BryantDirector

        Andrew was appointed Director in 2016, and is a counsellor and a part-time volunteer pastor, holding a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master of Ministery Leadership. Born and raised in Gayndah, Andrew spent three and a half years in Brisbane and Toowoomba while completing his undergraduate qualifications, returning to Gayndah in 2015. Andrew hopes that through his service to the Gunther Board, he is doing his part to in building a healthy community, where senior citizens continue to enjoy their lifestyle.

          Sue was appointed Director and Treasurer in 2016. Gayndah born and bred, Sue brings to the Board a Bachelor of Business and over 20 years of financial management in the citrus industry. Sue has a passion for the Gayndah community and experience serving on local church, school, community and business boards and committees.

            Elvia Slack OAMDirector

            Elvia was appointed Director in 1997, with a background in business management. She has been involved in the community through her work as a public servant for 25 years, and is actively involved in numerous community groups. She brings a wealth of local knowledge, and has an ongoing commitment to the economic growth of the community.

              Shirley HampsonSecretary

              Shirley was appointed Director in 2013, and is a fully qualified Business Teacher (Diploma of Teaching and Bachelor of Education) who also holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV in Celebrancy.
              Shirley is considered a local having been born in Biggenden, educated in both Mundubbera and Gayndah, and after some years working away returned to Gayndah in 1995 to raise her family of three daughters.
              Shirley, alongside her husband Fred, operate their own successful business.

                Tim UlcoqDirector

                Tim was appointed Director in 2013, and has been involved with business management for 20 years within the citrus industry. He has been involved in, and held executive positions in numerous community groups including local schools, churches and within the citrus industry. He is committed to the growth of the local community and comes with a wealth of knowledge. He has also been a foster carer for a number of years and travelled extensively.

                  Mye-Ann SlackDirector

                  With a rural background, Mye-Ann is a Gayndah local of 38 years and runs a cattle property and sawmill alongside her family.

                  Mye-Ann believes that Gunther Village is an incredibly important facility to have in our town and hopes that by contributing as board member she can help ensure the maintenance and viability of this vital service.
